Core Aeration & Seeding
Southeastern clay soil can become very compacted within short periods of time. Core aeration relieves this compaction and increases the air, water and nutrient uptake to the roots of your grass. The reduced compaction allows the grass roots to grow deeper and stronger. Deep growing roots are less susceptible to damage from freezes, frost, wind chill and summer heat. We aerate every section twice to ensure you receive all of the benefits this process gives.
Spring is the best time to aerate warm season lawns and fall is the best time to aerate and overseed cool season lawns. Since fescue doesn't spread like Bermuda or Zoysia, it is important that it be periodically re-seeded to maintain proper turf density and give you a lush, vibrant lawn. A thick, healthy fescue lawn will not only have fewer weeds, less problems with lawn diseases, but will look so fantastic you'll want to run your hands through it. We use a special blend of different hybrid turf-type fescue seeds, core aerate the areas twice before seeding and then lay the seed on thick to ensure you get the very best lawn.
